#LipArt FAQ ? Q. Why? A. Why not??? Q. Do you go out with these on? A. No. I just apply, take photos, and wipe it all off. Q. How do you keep your lips smooth? A. Exfoliate your lips regularly. Slather on a thick layer of lip balm (I use eye cream too sometimes). Let it sit for 5 minutes. Then take a damp facecloth and rub off the balm and any dead skin. Should be left with nice smooth lips ? Q. How long do liparts take?? A. Usually the application takes around an hour depending on how complex the design is. Planning the design, application, photography, and post production all together takes about 3-4 hours for 1 image. Yes, I know ? Someone needs to pay me to do this please. Q. What camera/lens do you use? (This is a general FAQ not just lip art but it's probably the most common question so here you go☺️) A. Nikon D7100 with a 50mm f1.8 lens. Q. How do you come up with ideas? A. I'm constantly trying to keep my eyes open for designs that would work well with the shape of the lips. Also I love to think of colour combos that I would like to use or my favourite artists/artworks that I want to replicate or take inspo from. Q. How do you not smudge this and mess it up? A. Use products that dry completely matte. I prefer liquid to matte formulas (liquid lipsticks) because they go on smooth but once they dry, they don't smudge. Q. Tips for lip art? A. Plan out your design before hand. Use liquid to matte products. Use tiny brushes for detail work (@smithcosmetics # 202 or brushes from the art store). Paint multiple thin layers instead of one thick layer. Try not to close your lips together until the products are completely 100% dry. Q. How can you eat or drink with this on? A. You can't really. Before you start, have a lil' snack and a drink because you may not be able to for an hour but I'm sure you will survive. Q. Who would wanna kiss lips like that? A. This guy ? @productofdust ? Ask anything else you wanna know and I can answer in the comments:)
