California dreamin’! We had a blast cruising down the coastline on US 1. • Part of the route is still blocked by a huge landslide (just South of Gorda), however you can continue over the mountains on a road called Nacimiento-Fergusson, and through a military base, then drive back out to the PCH and keep going. • HINT: At the top of Nacimiento-Fergusson, there are some fun dirt roads to explore! ? #SeeMonterey @SeeMonterey

What's a visit to Taiwan without sipping on Pearl Milk Tea #amirite When I was living in Los Angeles in the early 2000s, Pearl Milk Tea, aka Bubble Tea, aka "Boba" somehow gained popularity and became the hottest thing. But I remember my Taiwanese friends would tell me that Boba is not anything new to them – in fact, the concept of Bubble Tea was invented in the 1980's in Tainan, a city in south Taiwan. Pearl Milk Tea is a milk tea drink with tapioca balls added to the bottom of it. The tapioca balls are often white (though there is a black variation as well) which resembles pearls, hence the name. The original pearl tea was simply just black tea mixed with milk and tapioca balls, but since it became popular, it has sprouted new variations which include fruit-flavored juice (such as passion fruit, strawberry, mango, lychee, etc) and ice blended base. In the recent years, it has also become a trend to be able to pick the level of sugars so you can feel slightly better when you are sipping on your milk tea. I personally think the traditional pearl milk tea with full sugar is still the best one though ? Some of you might remember i posted this on my instagram story after a bit of rant on unnecessary plastic usage. In a bid to reduce my one-time plastic usage, I usually refuse straws and bring my own cups for takeaway coffee. But when it comes to bubble tea, I couldn't refuse the straw bc you are supposed to sip on the bubbles through a large straw! A follower of mine (@chuepachups) then informed me that you can actually buy a large reusable straw that accomodates bubble tea. That got me curious… Are you aware of your plastic usage too? What are your tips on reducing waste while travelling? Let me know by commenting below ?? I would love to hear all of it! I've pinned my basic tips in my story highlights 😉 . #ShotOniPhone8Plus #Boba #PearlMilkTea #BubbleTea

The Acrobats. I could sit hours and watch these traditional Intha fishermen use their unique and dying technique to catch fish on Inle Lake. Shot for @djiglobal and @visit.myanmar #mavicpro #mymyanmar

Wow! It’s not every day that I’m so overwhelmed and humbled by the support of my Instagram friends but I woke up today to a sea of DM’s, comments, Facebook messages and orders for my online photography course. ( @laurenepbath > link in bio ?) It’s been so long since I produced this that I’d almost forgotten my main motivation for bringing it to the world, sometimes these things can get lost with the stress of day to day life. I made this to help people gain confidence with their cameras. I talk to people every single day who have a camera somewhere at home that they’re too afraid to use and I seriously feel that pain. I can remember in great detail exactly how I felt when I brought my first camera home. So my course was written by me *from scratch* to help you get confident with your camera quickly. Each module is progressive right up until you’re shooting in full manual mode within a couple of weeks. I can help you to become a technically perfect photographer, giving you the freedom to have fun with your camera and enjoy experimenting with composition instead of stressing about settings. And you can do this course with literally any digital camera that shoots in manual! Canon, Nikon, Olympus (like me), even compacts as long as they have manual capabilities. Click the link in my bio to learn more and watch my hilarious sales video ?. And yeah, I jumped the gun and posted this shot too early last year but I actually photographed this scene when I was filming the course on the Gold Coast. Lol. An incredible sunrise like this always makes me feel like I’m on the right path in life, it was a sign that my online course was a good idea. ??? I’m going to do a big instagram story later today too! (With the behind the scenes stuff from filming the course. ??) . . . . . #goldcoast #surfersparadise #wearegoldcoast #seeaustralia #onlinecourse #beginnerphotography #sunrise #olympusinspired
